West Valley Medical Group (WVMG) in Caldwell, formerly Caldwell Medical Clinics, has been providing care to patients in Caldwell and the western Treasure Valley for more than 50 years. Our experienced physicians are board certified in internal medicine, family medicine, sports medicine, infectious disease, and pulmonary medicine with specialty interests in many diseases and health conditions.

Steven J. Koga, MD

Dr. Koga was born and raised in the Boise, ID area. He graduated from Willamette University with a B.S. in Biology. He received his M.S. in Genetics from Washington State University and his M.D. from Southwestern Medical School in Dallas TX. Dr. Koga did his internship, residency and was Chief Resident at Providence Medical Center in Portland OR. Dr. Koga has been practicing medicine in Caldwell since 1995.

Dr. Koga and his wife Ann have two children, Dailey and Duncan. Dr. Koga and his family are very active in athletics and it is not uncommon to see them on the soccer field, football field, basketball court, baseball field or in the swimming pool.

J'Cinda Bitters, MD

Dr. J’Cinda Bitters is a family medicine physician with special interests in colonoscopy and pregnancy care and delivery.  She graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in biomedical science and completed her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch of Galveston.

Upon graduation from medical school, she completed her residency at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho.

In her spare time, Dr. Bitters enjoys running, hiking, biking, snow shoeing and skiing, and spending time with her family.

 

Carolyn Rees, MD

Dr. Rees was raised in Northern California. She received her B.A. in Biology from Reed College in Portland OR. She received her medical degree from University of California in San Francisco, CA and did her internship and residency at Highland General Hospital in Oakland. CA. Dr. Rees spent a number of years on staff with Kaiser-Permanente before moving to Caldwell ID.

Dr. Rees loves the outdoors, horses, cows and her dogs. When she is not practicing medicine, her second love is her cattle ranch in Homedale, ID.


Melissa Park, MD

Dr. Park is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician. She received her medical degree at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she finished in the top third of her class. Dr. Park then completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. Before returning to Idaho, Dr. Park practiced within Montana’s Indian Health Service system and in Rockport, Maine.

Dr. Park specializes in women’s health and diabetes as well as geriatrics.

Dr. Park is thrilled to return to Idaho, having been born in Caldwell and raised in Middleton area. She and her husband are happy to be raising their two children close to family and in the community she grew up in.

Joe Llenos, MD

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Joe Llenos to our practice! Dr. Llenos is a Family Practice Physician who just moved to Caldwell from New Jersey. He completed his medical degree at the West Visayas State University College of Medicine in the Philippines (his home country). He then completed a Family Practice Residency with the Institute for Family Health/Mid-Hudson Family Practice in New York where he received an award for clinical excellence in medicine. Dr. Llenos is exicted to be in Caldwell, where he can enjoy helping families maintain or get back to their optimal health.

Dr. Llenos and his family look forward to getting to know the community and Canyon County. He loves to camp, hike, fish, and go rafting, so his patients will have to tell him about their favorite local spots!

Richard Augustus, MD

Dr. Richard A. Augustus is a board-certified family medicine physician with special interests in obstetrics, pediatrics and endoscopy. He earned his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and completed a residency program at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho Caldwell Rural Training Track. He enjoys the outdoors, farming/ranching and spending time with his family.


Cheryl Sobba, NP

Cheryl received her BS in Nursing from Boise State University, and her Masters of Science in Nursing - Adult Nurse Practitioner from University of Portland. She completed her post-graduate work at Idaho State University and received her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification.

Cheryl brings a wealth of knowledge and training to CIMG from her past experiences including managing the rural health clinic in Middleton for 7 1/2 years. She was very instrumental in developing the rural clinic's sites for West Valley Medical Center.

Cheryl and her husband Bob have two daughters, Amy and Angie, and a wonderful grandson Ethan. When Cheryl isn't traveling overseas, visiting her grandson and/or daughters, she is known to be caught fishing, RVing, or working on stained glass.

Michaela Schulte, MD
